Lifting Off To A Global Scene: Gulaman Entertainment goes international; 'Chapa' by Direk Zarrina Fernandez Selected for United Kingdom's Lift Off Film Festival, Spotlighting LGBT Issues

Gulaman Entertainment is proud to announce that its latest film "Chapa" has been selected to be a part of the prestigious Lift Off Filmmaker Sessions Online Film Festival in the United Kingdom. "Chapa" takes on the brutal reality of violence against queer individuals. The film "Chapa" shines a light on these atrocious truths, highlighting the violence and inequality that LGBT people experience on a daily basis. The film hopes to foster a more welcoming and inclusive society by increasing awareness of these concerns via its moving narrative.

Zarrina Fernandez's gripping "Chapa" tells a riveting narrative of a notorious police officer who comes into contact with his Queer neighbor, putting a person's life in risk on a Sunday afternoon. With talents by Heartley Herbas, Chester Alain Caca, and James Ruallo, "Badge" is a must-see for cineates with an appreciation for indie filmmaking.

The film is produced by S. A. D. Productions, in collaboration with Gulaman Entertainment and Lucent Films, and aspires to break into the Philippine cinema with its trailblazing art in storytelling.

To celebrate this recognition, the film is exclusively available to watch on Vimeo for two weeks, alongside over 130 other short films from around the globe. Viewers can vote for the film, but strictly one set of votes per person. Votes are reserved for purchasers only and invalid votes will be removed, so let's keep it fun and fair for everyone.
